Doing Your Doc
Doing Your Doc is a series of 3-4 regional professional documentary development/production seminars targeted at the diverse voices of emerging Latino/a, African-American, Asian, Pacific Islander and Native American documentary makers. It provides a 2-1/2 day seminar on documentary project story structure, proposal writing, trailer mechanics and post-production/ delivery planning. Latino Writers Lab
The Latino Writers Lab is designed to assist up-and-coming Latino writers who aspire to create independent feature scripts, or work in the film and television industry, but who need skills development and mentoring in order to advance. In partnership with Time Warner and the WGA-East, the Writers Lab created a unique format to help develop strong, viable screenplays for production or sale. 12-16 writers participate in this intensive workshop which runs 10 days. Latino Producers Academy
The Latino Producers Academy provides our filmmakers a ten-day intensive course that covers a range of production skills and draws on the expertise of independent film and television producers and executives who are available to mentor and support our makers. Our goal with the Latino Producers Academy, in this and future years, is to encourage a diverse and talented group of producers and directors who will create new and greater programming achievements in film, broadcasting and media arts.
